Our pickleball group of about 20 players is pretty picky about the balls we use. For years we have used the Franklin X-40. Recently our ball guy didn't show up so I broke out these.Since they are brand new they were pretty bouncy but actually if you dropped them side by side next to the X-40 the bouncy differences were barely perceptible. As more players started getting used to them many of us noticed they seemed a bit quieter which can give you the false sensation that you're not hitting them hard or that you're missing your sweet spot. Again, we got used to this. The other difference was they seemed to move just a bit slower... or as one player pointed out, "They slow down quicker." This resulted in some awesome rallies at the net. After a few games people were commenting on how much "funner" they were to play with. I know "funner" isn't a word but I'm just quoting here. Visibility is fine. I have the Yellow.All in all we think these will be a great ball to play with during the colder months as they are not as hard and we don't think they'll be cracking as much as the X-40s. And they are a much better value than the X-40s.
