I bought the S4 set after a lot of analysis. At this price point, it's the best on offer. The sound quality is simply amazing. The top-firing main speakers are rich, deep, and clear, and the sub kicks in at all the right moments. The system especially shines with our HD Blu-Ray system. I have zero regrets about this purchase. Polk isn't an electronics company with a speaker division, it's a speaker company that makes outstanding speakers. To the other reviewer who says this sounds like TV speakers - what?? I used a basic HDMI cable from the eARC output on my TV to the speaker bar and have had no problems; this ensures the volume can be controlled using the remotes for any device: TV, Blu Ray, whatever. You can adjust the Polk's preset equalizer settings and/or adjust the bass/treble using the included Polk remote control. There is simply no comparison to be made between a TV's embedded speakers and this soundbar system.

I bought this on the advice of Choice, the Australian consumer organization that tests just about everything and this came #1 in the soundbar test.First of all the soundbar arrived a week earlier than quoted. It was easy to set up, however if you have an older tv without the HDMI ARC output then you'll need both the HDMI cable as well as the optical cable, both supplied. The cordless subwoofer connected itself to the soundbar and that was it. It had a nice deep smooth sound and it really does make a difference hearing the dialogue on tv. I'm happy with it and I consider it good value for money. I would certainly recommend it.

I bought 2 sets for my new place on Prime Day. Super easy to set up. I wish the subwoofer power cord was longer. Also It wasn’t obvious that the optical cord has a specific shape so it has to be plugged into the TV and sound bar a specific way. I wish the instructions had pointed that out to a non tech person like me. At first glance it looked perfectly square. I bought a Samsung TV and it was really hard to see the shape of the port once it was up on the mantle. You are warned. I thought I put it in the wrong way but I have sound. Also, there is no volume indicator, just your ears. I would like the next generation to have an on screen visual volume adjustment. Love the slim design, it blocks basically non of my screen. Very happy getting my sound systems updated.

The Signa S2 is, perhaps, one of the best "bang-for-your-buck" sound bars I have found. The sound quality is crisp and clean, and when paired to the sub, very well-rounded. I find it to exceed my expectations for the price. My only gripe is related to the settings...there is no display field (only small lights), so it's challenging to know where your settings (bass, treble) and preset values sit.I have yet to experience issues with connection as per other reviews, and the initial/ongoing sub pairing has been flawless.Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high-quality, cost-effective sound bar.

I wanted to write this review early because there were so many negative reviews about the auto sleep after 15 mins feature, I almost didn't buy it.First: I bought this in Jan 2022, and my unit has the option to turn off the auto sleep feature by holding the [TV] button on the remote for 5 seconds. The setup was very straight forward, the manual is 2 pages with pictures, with basically no wrong options. It comes with a HDMI ARC and optical input, only connect one. I'm using the ARC and the speaker turns on ~10 seconds after my tv, and off ~5 seconds after, which isn't great but it works.I think the sound is great for the price, but the limitations are very apparent at higher volumes. The movie button gives you pretty good range and base (with some adjustments), but at higher volumes the enhanced dialog settings 3, and sometimes 2, become useless.I have it connected to my Insignia Fire Tv, and in movie mode at 50-60 volume it’s loud enough that I need to yell when I’m talking to someone a few feet away, while still experiencing incredibly clear sound. The bass on max in movie mode was enough to shake the room.Overall, it’s exactly what I was looking for at this price point (

The sound quality of this thing is ABSOLUTELY GREAT. I really wish I didn't have to write this review, but one feature that the Polk engineers *deliberately* added, without a workaround, has ruined this product. When the soundbar does not detect audio for approximately ten minutes, the soundbar AUTOMATICALLY TURNS OFF. And the soundbar does not turn itself back on after shutting down, nor is there a way to permanently disable this feature. If you don't own one of these yet, it may be hard to imagine why that is such an inconvenient feature. Have you ever paused anything just to do a simple household chore? Have you ever put a program on mute with the intention of putting it back on when you can focus again? Now you get to experience the frustrating chore of either finding the small remote for the soundbar, of which the IR transmitter barely works, or walking up to the soundbar and finding the power button to turn it back on. And then waiting for ten seconds before the soundbar sets itself up again. This "feature" completely ruins the TV experience. I should say that I know that physically holding the power and volume buttons at the same time will turn off this feature for 4 hours, but I would have to do that. every. time. I want this feature.I don't blame the engineers for creating this silly feature to comply with "green" certification - these certifications are ridiculous and unnecessary. But what I can't forgive them for is not including a way to permanently disable this compliance setting.

Sound quality for money 8 1/2 out of 10. Build quality 9 out of 10. ease of set up 6-10Not enough instructions on how to set up the sound bar without any problems I spent around a half an hour troubleshooting just to get some audio to play back I hooked it up to my LG TV and what they don’t tell you is you have to go into your TV audio settings And change a few of the parameters in there for the audio to start to work it’s not just as easy as plugging in connecting wires and there you go. there’s a little bit more you have to do which they don’t tell you. But overall the audio is excellent the base is excellent I’m not disappointed in this little sound bar at all

I basically bought this for watching BBC nature documentaries since my TV's inbuilt speaker had hard time delivering clear dialogues but I think this Signa S2 is overkill for that purpose. I should have gone for Signa Solo which was selling for 8k during sale (including bank discounts). Now coming to it's capabilities.FORMAT IT PLAYED : Dolby digital, Dolby digital plus, DTS, DTS-HD (Master Audio) and many other formats except Dolby TrueHD & Atmos where TV displayed something like "audio not supported in this video".My biggest concern was if it can play DTS files and it plays them brilliantly. I felt DTS sounded better than Dolby but it may be due to higher bitrate of dts files.VOCALS are amazing. Super clear. Actually whole sound speactrum is too clear with great instrument separation that you will be able to distinguish between different sounds/instruments being played. High notes tone (Tweeters) are just pleasant to listen to.Polk's Voice adjust feature is extremely beneficial and works as advertised. But since soundbar produces such crisp and clear sound I never felt to use that feature but I tried just to test it out and it worked great. It easily fills 15x20 room with just 50% volume that you would feel like sitting in a theater. Now coming to BASS:It's the most controversial part with Signa series soundbar. When playing dolby movies (I played Batla House and Justice league) the rumble was so huge even at low base level setting that it literally felt like being in the scene of the movie. The rumble penetrated 3-4 walls in my house and could be felt beyond 30 feet. When Polk says "Deep Bass Technology" they are truly honest with their claim. Bass felt like Sub-bass most of the time than normal Bass. Bass is what you can hear, Sub-bass is what you feel in your whole body.I also noticed there was no down firing driver in the sub. When you place your hand near sub you will barely feel anything even while producing THAT deep Bass rumble in action scene. Bass effect is more like 3D and feels like PVR cinema at home. These guys (Polk Engineers & Scientists) know the science of sound and are Master of acoustics so they have done something there in the Bass department. Now the controversial part of NO BASS. It occured mostly during streaming music via Bluetooth or even while playing directly from TV. Bass was so loose & non existent (70% of the time) that one would easily get disappointed. Only thing about the bass present during music is some "air pressure type" loose Bass ,which you can only hear, without having any body, depth, weight or punch. But when you watch dolby/DTS movies Bass will just shock you in many ways that you won't be able to believe yourself. One can easily feel that Super deep Punch and weight with 3D effect. So there's definitely some improvement to do in that Bass department but it won't affect your experience during watching any movie. For music lovers I would suggest to go for Magnify Mini rather than Signa S1/S2.It was very easy to install and I used HDMI Arc to connect to my TV. Using Polk's remote I can turn on Bluetooth ,connect with my OnePlus 7 and stream. I actually enjoyed listening to music since I rarely listen to Bass heavy songs ,so Bass issue never bothers me.I got it for around 14k so it's Value for Money for me and actually delivers more than what I paid for.I received 4 power cables (2 two-pin & 2 three-pin).Received all other accessories like optical cable,HDMI cable, remote, batteries. Thanks for reading my review.Cheers ;)
