I like the elastic waistband among other things. They fit right, have the pockets to carry my peripheral items and are rugged. This is a rip stop garment and is heartily recommended.

These shorts are cool, man! Like real tactical and stuff. Like those BDU things, only in shorts for the hot old summertime. Plenty of pockets to put all your stuff in too, yeah baby!

I generally find ordering clothing or shoes difficult over the Internet due to sizing issues. After a recent and somewhat sudden weight loss I found myself in need of smaller shorts. Shopping locally I found size 36 to be too large, and 34 too small. What i really needed was a 35 which doesn't exist. Not knowing if I would be gaining weight back I was looking for a less expensive alternative to the 511 shorts I usually wear.I received the Propper shorts within two days and they fit perfectly. The elastic waistband makes them feel slightly smaller than a size 36. I don't think the quality is quite as good as the 511 but I do like the wallet pocket inside the rear cargo pockets as it holds your wallet on your hip so that you are not sitting on it. I would buy again.

Gone are the days of wearing pants! These tactical shorts provide everything I need for a day at work. I wear them when I'm on bike patrol, and they are fantastic. There are plenty of pockets for snacks, and other things that I need for work, like snacks. These shorts fit like I expected they would. I put on one leg, and then the other, and then button and zip up and it's THAT EASY!!! Even a caveman could do it! Not to mention, all the ladies love seeing my white legs, now that they're free from the leg jail that is pants. Everyone should wear these. They are far superior to pants.

But it gives me room to grow - PHAT!! I like the pockets, the material seems good and they have been comfortable in HOT/HUMID weather where I am living... Not sure if I would like 5.11's or BlackHawks better... I only have them in long pants and I like them quite a lot... as well as another brand - TruSpec... Gotta love tactical pants... Makes me feel like a Navy Seal on a UhberSecret mission, when in fact I am a real nowhere man, living in my nowhere land, making all my nowhere plans for nobody...
