The Rico Reed Case, Multi-Instrument holds eight of any size clarinet or saxophone reeds and includes one Reed Vitalizer 73% RH pack. Reeds are held snug in the reed carrier. Rico's unique case keeps reeds stored at the ideal humidity wherever you travel.
Rico's reed cases utilize the Reed Vitalizer Humidipak technology for reed storage. This patented technology uses two-way humidity control to promote longevity and prevent warping and cracking. Reed Vitalizer Humidity Control packs self regulate to the ideal relative humidity inside your reed case and last for 45-60 days. When the pack becomes hard, discard and replace with a new pack.

The reed cases do work in humidifying reeds. Living in Calgary, Alberta where it is dry and windy, this is a critical factor!For optimal results it is best to play on the reeds everyday as this will further enhance and stabilize the moisture.One thing that would be easy to fix with this case would be to widen the brackets that hold the moisture pack. As it is now, the pack moves around and you have to be careful that it doesn't fall out when you open that side of the case.

Depuis que j'utilise ce produit, je ne pourrais plus m'en passer. Les anches restent beaucoup plus stables et durables car l'humidité reste constante. C'est fini les anches qui gondolent grâce à ce produit. (n.b.: Il faut mettre ce sachet dans le sac de plastique conçu à cet effet)
