I bought this to replace my 3rd Gen 4Runner factory cup holder because the tension had failed on the cup arms. This cup holder seems a bit sturdier than the original and fits right in the slot, I doubt anyone would ever know it wasn't OEM.On a side note if the tension on your cup holder arms has failed it may just be a broken piece of plastic inside that holds the spring in place, you can easily put screws through the top metal part where the broke plastic piece was to fix this, holes are already there and you can enlarge them if needed for a larger screw. I fixed my original one in a few minutes after putting in this replacement cup holder but really I think I like the new one better and I don't feel like taking it back out anyhow to put the original one back in but if that's what broke on yours it is easy to fix.Also, if you have a 96-98 check out the 3D printed double cup holder that mounts next to your gear shifter.https://www.amazon.com/Double-Holder-1996-2002-4Runner-Black/dp/B0CJGQZX6H

They do not fit 2009-2014 f150 like stated… other than that I feel I’d buy again if I have the truck they fit.
