I've been playing drums for a long time and in several bands. I had purchased my last box set of Sabians in 2008. They were B8s with hats, splash, 14, 16 , 18 crash and 20" ride. Ride started to crack and the 16 crash warped a bit (or maybe I banged too hard). Thought they sounded okay, until I used these at their first show. (Was in the closing band for our town's Independent Day festival 2 weeks ago).Holy cow what a difference!!Price is steep, but if you do splurge the grand I think you will find it will be a good investment.

I am a beginner drummer who just started drumming maybe 3 months ago. Bought a Pearl Roadshow kit and initially upgraded the kit cymbals with a Sabian Sbr set. Sounded alright but as I got more comfortable and playing, I could start to hear the difference between my set and my drum instructors kit. Decided to upgrade again to the AAX's and holy smokes! Even with my beginner "ear", the difference in sound was so noticeable!Absolutely recommend this set to anyone looking for a great quality and superb sounding set of cymbals!
