These gloves are dangerous to your sparring partner. Foam is too hard, and ball shaped so punch force is concentrated to one spot when you hit someone. I was hit by one of these at a tournament back when I was green belt. I dropped my guard when the ref said stop, but the brown belt still threw his punch and hit me hard in the right side chest. It felt like a rubber ball pounded into the one spot on my chest - I didn't know it was these gloves until I bought them just now. The chiropractor had to adjust my ribs back in place, and I wore a chest Tensor bandage for the next two weeks before the pain stopped.
