I put several hanging file hangers in here and use them to categorize standard file folders. Solid and heavy but easy to move around when needed. No handle, but the danger with small lockboxes like this is that someone could run off with the whole thing, so no 30+lbs and no handle makes less likely it will walk off to far.The key and lock work sufficiently for general security. I don't think it would be waterproof, and being plastic, it may be damaged/distorted/destroyed in really hot fire, but hopefully I never need to worry about that.Overall, great file storage box if you need a step up from cardboard banker boxes and want some security.

Sentry safes are the only brand i buy. I have 2 different sizes for my house. I recommend them and hope they never need to be tested even though I believe they will stand up

Sentry safe makes excellent products. I bought this in 2013. It has held up well. Lock still works great as well.This comes with two keys which is also nice.It has some bulk to it, but you can still easily conceal it.This is very good for small items. Like documents, Jewelry or any other sensitive items. And it should hold up for a little bit in case of a fire.Should you leave this out in the open with sensitive items in it? No. This is meant to be hidden.For the price I paid in 2013 it has been an excellent.I have multiple Sentry safe products that are even older. And they have all been solid.Case in point, good for the intended purpose. A larger and heavy safe with a better lock system is better if somebody wants to deter a thief.

Simple and effective.Decided to try out this unit after it being discounted on amazon and with free 2-day shipping under Amazon prime. Wow am I impressed with the quality! Some reviews have spoke of the small interior, yet it's clearly stated in the product details of the dimensions. It's the perfect size to keep personal documents, some precious metals and fine jewelry. I haven't had to "test" the box under fire conditions (Knocking on wood) yet that doesn't discount the quality to price aspect of this product.In short, I would recommend family and friends to purchase one for their own smaller safe keep items, and with the fire-warranty incase anything goes wrong, you will have a new unit free of charge. What more could you ask for when purchasing an economy fire-safe box?

The SentrySafe 1200BLK is quite high-quality for the listed price.Being shipped from Amazon comes with the usual box packaging that a product fulfilled from Amazon would have. Amazon tape, professional and even shape, etc. However, the box of the actual product is not of the best quality. It seems really cheap and some parts of the box were misshaped and not completely even. This did not effect the product itself.Some dusty powder-like material was found on the safe, and I am unsure of why or where it comes from. There have been multiple reports from consumers about this I have seen before as well.Now onto the safe itself,From what I can tell, there is an outer layer of polymer and right under that a large layer of maybe an inch or two of material (I am unsure of what it is) that feels really heavy duty.The product itself is quite heavy for it's size (around 6kg), and feels very sturdy. The locking mechanism is not completely smooth, when you put the key in you might have to jitter it a bit for the key slot to rotate itself clockwise to unlock it. Turning counter-clockwise locks and secures the action.The interior is just some sort of hard plastic or so, it does not come with padding, carpeting, or any other forms of care-wise protection for the articles you may keep inside the safe, so dropping this safe might still damage the items contained.2 keys are provided for the safe. No batteries required.I have found that the safe is larger than I imagined from the pictures, but that is not to say this is a bad quality of the safe. I am able to store more than I anticipated, without taking up too much space. It also has a carrying handle that works good for mobility if you can handle the weight of it.This product is generally made for documents, digital media (USB sticks, portable hard drives, DVDs, CDs, etc.), and such. It is suitable to hold valuables like money and jewelry fine, but this may not be guaranteed to be protected from damage. This item is not meant for businesses, burglary protection, and such but rather for protection as it is a Fire-Safe.Overall, I am glad I purchased this item, it was a great one for the price compared to some you might find even more expensive. SentrySafe remains a reliable manufacturer of safes, vaults, and the like.Thank you for reading.

Die Box:* Sehr geräumig, passt auch eine Festplatte rein* Keine unangenehmen Gerüche* Macht einen guten und stabilen EindruckHat zwar keinen Tragegriff, ist aber auch so gut zu tragen.Vor allem weil sie außen etwas angeraut ist rutscht sie einem auch nicht so leicht aus den Händen ;)Gebrannt hat es bei mir zum Glück noch nicht, daher kann ich nicht sagen wie sie das überstehen würde.Ich habe mir jedoch einen Beitrag aus einer Nachrichten-Sendung angeschaut in der mehrere Feuerfeste-Boxen, darunter auch SentrySafe, getestet wurden (ist bei YouTube zusehen).Und in diesem Video hat die SentrySafe Box sehr gut abgeschnitten :)
