It's such a pleasure to use knives that are truly sharp and this is one of them. Makes gardening work so much fun and satisfying! This works great too for ladies with smaller hands.Be super mindful when using - they are really sharp! If they make kitchen knives too, would not hesitate to buy them!

Anyone who knows this brand and it's reputation will not be surprised by this saw. Sharp, quality steel and the only thing that would make this item better would be a more solid, streamlined sheath/case rather than the clear plastic it comes with

Great folding saw. Very sharp teeth, cuts brilliantly, and is very durable to use and the elements. Used in combination with a neck knife like the Morakniv Eldris and Fallkniven A1 for a blade combo that will do anything you'd ever need.

I have had this folding saw for a good number of years and keep it in my hunting pack. My Grandson will be hunting big game soon and this will be a gift for him. I hope that he has many years of use with it as I have. Shipping was hassle free and it arrived right on time.

An absolute beauty of a saw! Solid, precise construction with user comfort in mind. The blade is thin with a ridiculously sharp and hardened edge that cuts on the pull stroke. Blade widens as it nears the teeth to prevent binding (works as designed!) Cuts incredibly quickly, although there is a slight learning curve on the push stroke to avoid bending the blade. The handle is flexible and comfortable, with good weight to control the blade with. The blade opens and locks into place with the switch accessible to the thumb. Two positions available: standard saw position, and an upward angle to aid in cutting objects on a flat surface. Will last you years if you take care of it. An awesome and well-thought piece of equipment by Japanese Silky!

For years, I was happy with the Bahco Laplander. Saw no reason to pick one of these up. I'd heard about the blades snapping & figured it wouldn't be worth the trouble. I finally caved & bought one, recently. The Bahco was gifted to my nephew & I won't go back. This saw has 10TPI & works well for an allaround solution. I've used it on green & hard wood with great success. I've even used this on 5-6" diameter wood, over my bow saw. It's just that convenient. I cannot speak highly enough, about this saw.If you're on the fence, trust me, it's worth every penny.

Superb, lightweight, reliable, fast folding saw. I purchased this specifically for backpacking/camping fire-making/emergency shelter making. It does a very fast and clean job on dried wood up to about 3.5" in diameter. The blade does have flex to it, so larger/heavier branches/wood pieces need to be kept from biting/clamping down on the blade after the pass through or it can stop the blade cold. When cutting down a seasoned sapling into smaller 16" or so segments, I had to let the weight of the long end teeter-totter over a fallen tree. That way as I cut and put pressure on the short end, the weakness in the cut line would force the wood apart instead of together. It cuts fast (if the wood diameter is half the blade length or smaller) and cleanly. It only cuts on the pull, but it's not noticeable when working IMO.I'll take this with me from now on unless I'm on a very extended backpacking trip where every oz. counts.Pros:- Great construction- Nice handle- Excellent locking mechanism and hinge- Dual-position locking point for regular/down-swept and up-swept positions- Fast, clean cutter on seasoned wood of size- Nice caseCons- Not as fast on green wood, but different toothed blade would help here- Flex in the blade and a narrow cut makes blade stoppage a problem in some scenariosOverall an excellent small folding saw for it's designed target wood size. I'll likely be getting a larger version for use around the house or "luxury" camping where larger dried wood might be available.Highly recommended!
