I got this with the idea that it would distribute the pressure on my C5 mouthpiece more evenly, since it has multiple 'ribs' that tighten. This hasn't turned out to be true, I'm not sure why since it has a center screw that you tighten. Plus it doesn't quite center on the table, which pulls the reed off center, write the opposite of what you'd want. This also pulls the reed slightly off center. So you must loosen it then recenter.I'm hoping that it centers better as (if) it gets used more. I believe it will. It's not poorly made!I really like how it looks when it's on.I hope to up date this review soon!

Materials feel cheap, but the ligature fits my mouthpiece well and the single screw works just fine. My one concern is the roughness of the edges scraping the gold plating off my mouthpiece. It looks like a knock-off of a Rovner platinum, but it’s shaped a bit different (designed for the screw to be on top, unlike the similar looking Rovner model that is designed to have the screw on the bottom)Like 99% of what is advertised on ligatures is just marketing wank. Since I’m convinced that saxophone and clarinet players would be hard-press to identify the difference between ligatures in their sounds in a blinded playing test (assuming the lig functions properly and holds the reed correctly against the table and rails), this isn’t a bad option as a decent value.

Very stable and fits my V16 well. I’d like it better without the fancy round box that only ends up in the garbage. A cap would have been better but I found a D’Addario cap that fits it perfectly. Overall a great value that I wish I found before buying a more expensive Vandoren leather ligature

I thought this lig worked great until I noticed that it had put a chip and scratches un my mouthpiece. The edges are sharp!

solid ligature for the price, it's heavy like other more expensive ligature
