Turn your home stereo, or any audio output into a Bluetooth-compatible media gateway with this Bluetooth 5.0 audio receiver that features a HiFi grade Wolfson WM8524 Digital to Analog Converter (DAC), and provides rich and high-quality sound. Digital and Analog outputs This BT receiver lets you connect audio systems that have analog audio inputs (3.5mm jack) with the included 3.5mm to RCA cable. Alternatively, you can connect to newer audio systems via the Optical output to take advantage of lossless/high-resolution audio files. Increased Transmission Range With Bluetooth 5.0 you can stream to longer distances up to 20m (66ft) of line of distance. Obstructions between the receiver and your mobile devices will decrease the transmission range. Easy Pair up to 8 Devices This wireless Bluetooth receiver can hold up to 8 paired devices in memory, so your audio system is always ready to play music from your favorite devices (audio is streamed to one device at a time). With Near Field Communication (NFC), simply tap your NFC-equipped devices to the aux receiver to instantly pair and start streaming audio, with no additional configuration required. The BT52A is backed by a StarTech.com 2-year warranty and free lifetime technical support.

Just plug and play. Use the optical output if you have the corresponding input.

Once I figured out how to manage the audio inputs on my receiver everything works extremely well. Bluetooth pairing took 30 seconds and obviously was simple and efficient. The tricky part was the audio since the instructions were not ideal. I tried hooking into my CD audio out and that worked on my Pioneer receiver. Presto!!The best part about this unit was that a Pioneer techie told me I needed a part they no longer sold, but that I could get it from eBay. I checked. It was $200 Cdn. No thank you!!! My issue is that my 10-yr-old iPad no longer has enough memory to power Spotify. Apple wanted me to spend $700 on a new iPad. Also, no thank you!! I got thinking that I've got several older cell phones with enough memory for Spotify. Hooked one of them up to wifi, added this adapter interface unit to connect to my older Pioneer receiver and not have fantastic music through my home sound system. Even better is that I can manage it through Wifi from anywhere in my home. Great $70 investment. :)

A couple of months ago it started randomly emitting the occasional loud buzz or crackle sound and now it is no longer discoverable. Piece of junk.

After sifting through the Bluetooth bridges, this is the best, hands down. Amazing difference in sound quality. I have gone through 4-6 of these, and either the is sound quality issues, drop offs that disconnect the Google Home, or other random issues. This thing works, and well.

Since my Stereo Receiver doesn't have Blue Tooth connectivity, this product allows me to stream Spotify music to my Stereo System to improve my listening quality. I will recommend this product to others with the same situation.

Plugged into the CD inputs in an older amp and connected to an Echo Dot via Bluetooth so I can play music from Amazon through my wired speakers from the amp. No problems connecting and music sounds great.

Easy connection to 80s era amp with supplied phono plugs, just plug (in) and play. Based on specs compared to other options at this price DAC is good, and based on the ear test it does a great job.

I have been generally quite happy with this thing, easy to use and sounds good. It goes into pairing mode as soon as the previous device disconnects which is super convenient for switching devices or letting your friends play music. However, that convenience means any arbitrary device can connect (e.g. neighbor who wants to Rick Roll you). Not sure how they could have designed it differently, but something to keep in mind if you have mean neighbors. If you live out of Blutooth range of your neighbors then this is exactly the design I would want.A minor issue is that it seems to sometimes "pop" when starting or stopping audio. However, it doesn't happen on every device so that may not be the problem of the Bluetooth adapter. Finally, my favorite part: The power adapter is UL listed. The adapter is extremely well designed too. It came with 3 different plugs for different countries. The connector between the adapter and the plug is designed in a way that if a child (or adult who isn't thinking) decides to connect a plug without the adapter into the wall, the electrically charged components are recessed and cannot easily short or electrocute someone. Such design features are relatively inexpensive but save lives, everything should be designed with such care.A year or two ago, I watched a coworker plug in a messed up multi country adapter shorting 110V to the outlet box. The flash lit up the office like an arc welder and left a giant black mark. Fortunately, it shorted to the box and not him, things could have been much worse. I have a new found appreciation for companies like StarTech who give enough of a crap to spend the extra few dollars and save lives.
