I’ve heard people complain about sunex now manufacturing their products In china. Sure opinions can change about who makes what, but sockets are still sockets. They’ve held up well and fit exceptionally well considering their “china” made sockets. The reason for missing the last star is the photos are misleading. The ones shown in the photos are Taiwanese made and the ones I got are different . The case I recieved was a black case with red clips and a big sunex label on the case. Now if sunex will still warranty these sockets in the event I break a socket, I have no problem with them.

My father was a GM service manager for 10 years and a ASE certified mechanic for 20 years. As one of the top mechanics in his field, he owned tools from all major manufacturers, including Craftsman, Snap-On, Proto and Matco.He left the dealership 15 years ago to farm full time. Due to my dad's mechanical experience, we still do many of our own repairs on the farm and in the field as needed. The challenge is that you typically lose tools more frequently on the farm than a shop mechanic due to in-field repairs that often lead to dropped tools in the soil, lost tools off the back of the pickup, etc.We still needed high-quality tools that can take the abuse of impact wrenches, 1/2" breakover bars, etc. but didn't come with the steep price of some of the top brands. Our parts store recommended Sunex, and the brand has yet to disappoint us.We have owned numerous socket sets, impact wrenches and other tools with the Sunex name. They all hold up exceptionally well, and in the off chance they break, the warranty process for replacements has not been an issue.This 12 piece 3/8" standard size impact set was purchased for my personal mechanic work with my Sunex 3/8" impact.I've mainly used them to rotate the wheels and tires on my vehicles and assist my neighbors with some of their mechanic work.. Most of the work was with the aid of an impact wrench. They work great, the matte black finish (typical of impact sockets) is good and the sizing labels on each socket are clear to read. Even the blow-molded socket case was sturdy, but I chose to use a different storage method in my toolbox.I'll likely be purchasing the Sunex deep impact socket set to go along with the standard-size metric socket set I bought earlier this year with this set.

Great quality for the price, ( I already own several sunex products) . I was happy to see that these came in a sturdy molded plastic case, since it was not shown in the picture. the case is red like the ones shown on sunex's other products .
