It does feel flimsy compared to my American made original but at a third of the price if it last 6 years to the 20 of the original is a good deal. I was strapped for cash at the time and could not afford the Zoeller.

This is a great little sump pump. I bought it to deal with our greenhouse that floods during our rainy season. It’s pumped it out at a higher rate, is fairly quiet, and the float switch works just fine. I bought this based on reviews, specs and price and would definitely recommend it to others.

Ok - bear with me bc this gets a little long. Short story is this pump is awesome. Buy it now.Long story is this - Being isolated during the early months of the Covid pandemic, we decided to get an above ground intex pool. The first year, we attached a hose and let the pool drain naturally. That took about 36 hours, and we were left with several inches of water in the bottom. I used a wet dry vac to empty the rest. I must have emptied that thing 40 times, trying to get the remaining water out. It actually made me consider tossing that pool out! So I started looking for options and saw this pump. Reviews seemed solid and I bought it early in anticipation of the next season. One thing to note - you’ll need to buy a connector if you want to attach a standard garden hose. It’s about $10.So - earlier this year I had to empty the pool for a couple of weeks, and I used this pump. It was impressive. After a couple hours, the pool was nearly empty. The pump seemed like it was running dry so i stopped it and pulled out that wet dry vac again. Even though there was still an inch of water in the pool it was a whole lot better than what I’d done the first year. We filled it back up and enjoyed it for the rest of the summer.Today, I emptied the pool for the season. I accidentally forgot about the pump. After about three hours, I went out and to my surprise, the pool was completely empty!!! It was bone dry! I didn’t even know it could do that! I’m so thrilled that I sat right down to write this review :)So like I said at the beginning, awesome pump AND it empties the pool 100%! As long as I have this pool, I’ll have this pump to go with it.

It works well but we just find it quite a bit louder than our last pump. The last pump was case iron so I don't know if that makes the difference. It's a great value as the local stores and even the big box stores couldn't match the Amazon price and it was delivered to our door!

I purchased it on Jun 26, 2019 and found out that its not working 1st week of Jul 2020 when we had a rain in Toronto. Not easy to get warranty claims as you cannot reach anyone from the company.Amazon customer service was able to connect me to the manufacturer who promised to send me the new one even as per my purchase date it was out of warranty. Really good customer service ( Thank you Rick!!)

I have had this installed at my house for about 2 months. We have a very high water level, this pump runs 6 or 8 times a day. Works great, I have had no issues. Probably the best pump for the money.

Had to give it a 3 because although it works well now, I've not had chance to evaluate it's longevity. That's the problem with some of these reviews. They come to quick. Yes, might work great, for a time, then go south. It's ok if it wasn't too pricey and you did get the use you initially bought it for, that's not too bad. But if it's, say, an electronic device that you are relying on, that's different.

This pump took the water out of my inground pool in less than 2 hours, and emptied my hot tub in less than 30 minutes.I did not expect the pump to be this good, as I did have a previous pump with 1/4" horsepower, but this took the prize. This was money well worth it.I was not sure whether or not to spend the money on this pump, but so glad I did.My last pump had the float go all over the place, and had to keep moving it, but not this one, it is amazing.I recommend this to anyone that wants to spend less time draining a lot of water. Thanks Amazon

Installed to replace aging and over sized 1/2 hp sump pump in my new house. My existing sump pump moved so much water so fast it would pump out the 30 gallon sump in under a minute. The 1.5" horizontal drain line would back up and fill the laundry sink with ~5 gallons of water. Research told me the size of the pipe was too small and had too many 90° turns, also wrong type of 90°, for the output of the pump and was border line on the slope required. On top of that problem the pump was loud, and when the sink drained the pipes gurgled and sucked. I could here it all over the house and it took some serious getting used too.Two solutions were proposed; replace the drain line and pump or replace pump with a lower flow model. The pump only runs when it is raining and the pit doesn't fill very fast anyway(2-4 hours) so a smaller pump was would do the job fine. I decided to replace the pump first and see if that fixed the problem.I chose this pump for three reasons. First was the size and output was half of my existing pump, and the manufacture said reducing pipe output size would reduce the flow rate without harming the pump. The pump also included a built in air lock preventer. Second the price, the cost of the pump meant in event of failure I could replace the whole system off the shelf for less than 100$, which is cheap enough to keep a spare on the shelf. Third, other reviewers said the pump was quiet. The pump feels solid and well built. All needed parts were included. I merely needed to adapt to my existing drain line. I chose to reduce the output line down to 3/4" PVC, I also installed a 3/4" PVC check valve with 3/4" PVC unions on both sides for ease of service. Pit pumps out in between 2 and 3 minutes now and can barely be heard when operating. The water also no longer backs up into the sink in the basement. Installation was completed in less than 1 hour.Only time will tell how durable the pump is. The pump includes a 1 year warranty and the registration process was very simple.
