The action of the switches is quite light, so I hope it holds up long term.

I have a 2003 4Runner. The passenger window stopped working. I called a mobile repair company and they came out and told me what was wrong but they didn't have the part. A neighbor decided to install it for me and in less than an hour it was removed, installed, tested and re-installed. I was scared I may have purchased the wrong version but it worked out great.

4 stars for the product and 5 stars for their customer service. Bought a different item for 2003 Toyota Camry XLE. Installed it found out from the seller I probably have an 18 pin switch. After I posted a review Switch Doctor contacted me in order to try a resolve the problem. Even though I had returned the item. After a couple messages back and forth they determined the issue to most likely to be the wrong “pin count connector”. They said the Camry probably requires an 18 pin connecter (this one sold for a Toyota 4Runner) not the 14 pin unit I ordered and returned (for Camry XLE). So oddly the Amazon app said the 14 pin unit would fit (would work). They recommended that I ordered this 18 pin unit for 4Runner. I installed it and the switch functions properly! One issue remained. When installing the new switch the door lock toggle button and the window lock button did not fit the trim holes well. Spacing was a bit off and tight. I took out a small file and reshaped the openings to allow the toggle and button to operate freely. All in all a successful window switch replacement to solve our window issue. You can trust Switch Doctor to not leave you in the cold if you have an issue. Their product is 4 stars (4-1/2?) but the company is 5 stars.

I bought a vehicle that had the drivers window not working. Other than that the vehicle was pristine. I did not think that getting the window working would be much of an issue. After two mechanics and $150, I still did not have the window working. I was told that it would be around $800 to fix. The OEM unit was over $600. I lived with out a window for some time. I was searching one day and ran across this unit on Amazon. It was $28. I was shocked. I watched a video on YouTube on how to disassemble the door panel to replace the unit. The next Saturday I spent about 1 1/2 hrs completing the repair. 1 1/2 hours and $28. Sure beat over $800. This unit has worked flawlessly since I put it in. What a great find. I read a review on it prior to buying the unit. It mentioned that the light in the buttons did not match the OEM lights in the dash. For the difference of $800 to $28 the son of a gun could be purple and I would not care. Great product. Highly recommended.
