This is a roll-up blanket - in that sense, it serves the purpose. I was looking for something I could use outdoors at my son's sporting events. Some blankets like this are water resistant on one side. This one is not. I wanted something that I could wear even if it was raining, or that I could put down on wet grass or bleachers without it soaking. So if you want something for indoors, this is great. If you want something for outdoors, you might want to keep looking for something that has a water resistant back.In the item's defense, it doesn't say on the description that it has a water resistant side. I just assumed by the "stadium" "portable" and "sport" that it would be sufficient to use outdoors.

I purchased this to be an extra layer when hunting and as a bonus it breaks up my outline. Blaze orange is required where I deer hunt and over the years I have made each layer of clothing blaze orange so if I have to remove or add I am always meeting the requirements.
