Good high-current connector for connecting and disconnecting electrical loads. I got this because I needed a high current connector to disconnect a power supply. This one checked all of the boxes. It has copper wire, and a good quality connector with a strain relief to prevent connector damage. Overall well built. It even is protected against the weather but I will not be using that function. It comes with shrink tubing and butt connectors for solid connections as well.

I bought this plug to convert an old cooler into a portable battery box for use on a kayak. The battery is located in the back of the boat with the motor on the bow, so the wiring has to run approximately 10' once routed through the hull.A lot of trolling motor plugs have thinner gauge wires and I've seen pictures of them actually melting from resistance. This plug is definitely up to the task. Very well made with 8 gauge wire. The wiring is flexible and remains flexible in cold temps. The latch is spring loaded and it doesn't pop out even when pulled hard.It comes with butt splices and heat shrink tubing so you have the option of soldering the connection.The only suggestion I would make is I wish it came with a backing plate for the straight section to secure it.

Although I didn’t use this trolling motor plug for its intended purpose, it worked perfectly as a battery quick-disconnect for my voltage inverter setup. The build quality is solid, and the waterproof design adds peace of mind. What really stood out to me was the flexible 8 AWG wire—it’s easy to handle and makes installation straightforward. A great product with impressive versatility and performance.

This plug has a lot of good things going for it, for example, good heavy gauge wire, comes with butt connectors, 90 degree connector, good solid connection. The reason I only gave it a 3 star is that there is no listed size for the connector to be able to drill the hole through my kayak. This is not something that you want to guess at. The mounting flange is too small that if you guess wrong you'll never be able to seal it up. If this included the size in the instructions and if the mounting flange was bigger this would have been a 5 star item for me.
