This is about the cheapest 7 degree reamer you can get, that is still a good tool. There are cheaper ones if you look, but they are made of softer steel and dull quickly. That being said, this is still a very specialized drill bit, so the cost of $100CAD is to be expected. I was able to ream out my knuckles, and my pitman arm for a crossover steering upgrade on my jeep. The pitman arm was made from much stouter material than the knuckles, and I was having trouble reaming it at first. I set it up on a drill press, bolted it down firmly to eliminate movement, and then I was able to ream it properly. The reamer is still very sharp, and I put it back in its nice plastic case to await its next project, likely years down the road.

This is the proper taper to cut the knuckles of a pre 2000 (2001??) Dodge Ram to accept the newer style steering (I used 2010.5+ linkage on a 1998 2500) Reamer cut easy and clean.

Arrived quick and very sharp. I needed this to re-taper the knuckle on my 1994 Ford F350 to match the upgraded GM 1 Ton TRE's. Use lots of oil and cut slowly. Cut 2 knuckle and a pitman arm and still very sharp.

This thing works fine and cuts fast for enlarging a tapered opening. Instructions suggest using drill for reaming and I found a slow speed works best. There is some un-evenness in the cut hole and I also found that finishing the bore by slowly turning the cutter by hand using a tool to grip the drive end makes a nice job of it. This thing cuts fast so monitor the depth.

It chucked well in my drill, it is sharp and progress is fast. I was resizing my hot rod's spindle arm from a round hole to a 7° taper to mate with my tie rod end. Super tapered reamer, works smoothly, if you lube generously and trigger the drill, so it will not catch and break your wrist. Has a fast cutting action, so go slow and check often. Flute edges will stay sharp and in good shape with "slow go", take your time. Excellent tool!

it worked great, was used to increase hole size on a 1972 Chev C10 center link so 1973 ball joints would fit
