I got the worms earlier than expected and I was excited but only to find out that the worms are so small. The sizes of worms (red wigglers) from PetSmart is what I was expecting to see in my recent order.

As worms go these guys are great. Packaging was awesome, worms survived their journey and instructions are provided for adding the worms to the compost bins. Thanks Uncle Jim!

Initially, I thought most were dead, but after a day or so they started squirming. I spoke with the vendor because I thought they were mostly dead. They responded quickly, told me when the worms were harvested and that they should be alive. By then, I realized that most worms were indeed alive. They just needed to acclimate a bit longer. The bedding and coconut shred provided is very useful, especially for beginners. They arrived in a well-suited strong bag with bedding, plus extra bedding in the box they came in. They also provided a charcoal heater to keep them warm during delivery. Worms were not cold, or unhealthy. Delivery was very fast. Customer should ideally be home when they arrive to avoid leaving them in unsuitable environments.

I am a 5th grade teacher and purchased these worms to demonstrate decomposers within the biosphere. The worms did not come to my home alive, but rather quite dead. I waited the 48 hours to call, but only received voice mail. I was also given directions on sending an email. Both of my emails did not go through, but were sent back. In desperation of wanting worms for my upcoming lesson, I drove nearly 2 hours to pick up worms, as it is difficult to get worms in the month of January. While some may have good luck receiving their worms alive, I did not. Getting replacement worms has not been a success as well.

I ordered for both my grand daughter and myself. All are doing well. I plan on ordering mealworms in the future once these red wigglers are established.

I ordered these worms for a raised bed. Our yard at one time was part of a creek bed and it's very rocky and sloped. I dont know how long the package was on the porch, but i immediately ran down the hill ans but them into one of my inground composters. They were alive and within a few minutes were climbing to the holes in the compost tower. I didnt have any newspaper but i did have brown (no chemicals) paper which i wet and put inside. There was already food for them in the composter. I will place another order for the other bin in a few days. The worms were thin like young worms, but lively. 2 in the upper left hand corner near the opening.

The first batch ordered, i only got about 20 worms, small and lethargic and close to death. I messaged the retailer and they offered to replace the worms for free, and even threw in a little extra gift for the inconvenience. The second batch arrived in about 2 days, and there were quite a few worms in there so i am satisfied.

Unfortunately the worms arrived late from expected delivery dates. The worms were very weak, with most barely moving upon receipt and it was already emitting a foul smell. Even that, I was hoping they recover and hoping for the best after I put them in my prepared bedding of coco coir and cardboard. The morning after the delivery, I saw very few worms moving. Many were already shriveled and breaks when touched. Especially because they were tiny. I consider this order a loss and I do not know if you can still refund me or send another batch. Maybe you can use a quicker delivery courier service so that the customer will not be put at a disadvantage and the worms do not die.
