Bought this to extend a raspberry pi power supply for my little arcade cabinet. This constantly shows low power lightning bolt and lcd shuts off intermittently. Removing this cable from the process and all is fine.Haven't tried for data transfer, but will not bother as it cannot reliably transfer even power. Junk.

If there’s one issue with USB-C ports, it’s that a lot of manufacturers place them really close together. That’s fine if all you plug in is USB-C cords, but I often have to add an adapter to convert to A, or HDMI, or card readers, etc., and there’s no telling what size plug or housing they will have, and it may be just physically impossible to plug everything in at once. This product does one thing really well: essentially move the USB-C ports out from the unit to give just enough room for anything to be plugged in side-by-side simultaneously. Bought two of these for my MacBook Air, and they get constant use.
