Double Ended Screws are self-tapping wood threads at one end, which can be directly locked into the soft material (wood). The other end is a mechanical thread, which can be locked with the nut. 2. The mechanical threaded end (flat end) cannot use with a hammer, as it will make the thread and become unusable.

Carbon Steel Double-headed Screws

Carbon steel double-headed screws are first fixed at the middle flat end with a snap hex wrench and locked into the self-tapping end by force. If there is no flat end in the middle, there is a hexagonal groove on the mechanical threaded end. It can also be installed and operated with a hexagonal wrench.

In the wooden legs of sofas, coffee tables, tables, etc., the effect of double-headed screws can generally be seen. When repairing and replacing the wooden feet of this furniture, you only need to unscrew them, and you can change a new screw, which is very convenient.

use these hanger bolts to replace the 5/16 bolts on all legs sold on amazon. Very easy to do. Many videos on line will help you if needed.

These are of good quality and strong, however, I had a difficult time making them straight even with a perfect pre-drilled hole. They appear to be off just enough between the thread differences (jointed area) to allow for imperfect level when connecting to other pieces.

I wanted to use them in wood, but wanted a metric screw on the other side, so I could place a tarp and nothave it blown by the wind!

Thanks to another reviewer mentioning the Lovesac feet. I have a couch that I'm using as banquet seating in the kitchen. Seats across with the backs (no sides) and it looks great, the only problem is it's too low for the kitchen table. So I'm taking Denny's advise and I'm going to buy 1 3/8" dowel and cut them into 4 inch pieces. Then I'll drill for these bolts and voila! I'll have a banquet 4 inches taller and the roomba will be able to vacuum underneath! I tested these bolts and they fit exact into the feet holes under the lovesac. Can't wait to start this project.

I ordered these to help with marking boards on a van wall and they worked perfect. The one question that I could find was the thread pitch so I ordered and crossed my fingers. They arrived and was able to confirm that these had the correct pitch I needed which was 1.25mm. I can't vouch for any of the other sizes they offer but the M8's are standard which is considered 1.25mm and fine threads would be 1.00mm. Hope this helps someone.
