Versa Games 300 Piece ABS Poker Chip Case in BlackI was hoping this case would be better since their description says "Better Than Standard Aluminum Poker Chip Cases" Technically, I guess that is true since those cases are worth one star. But this is the same case that is sold as a set (see photo), they just have the contents stripped, or maybe they just use the same box. But I knew with my purchase it was for the case only. This Versa 300 ABS Case is the same junky Chinese build quality and crappy locks and hinges with sub par, nah laughable, functionality/reliability . You could spend $5 more and get the "cheap" aluminium case, BUT get the 300 chips to go along with it.

Terribly made case. Only one card slot can hold a regular size deck of cards! The other lifts it up with no rhyme or reason to the design. Even the chip holders have no defined edges to hold the chips and an exact amount in place. Also, came with no key to keep case secured from opening. I travel with a poker case frequently. Concerned now the whole thing will open up and fly all over the floor with the flimsy catches. I’ll have to pack the case in a suitcase now. Frustrating. Very cheap quality case. Don’t buy this!!

I purchased this case for our family get togethers where we enjoy playing dice and card games together (6 to 10 people) for low stakes of 25 cents each - it allows for perfect size storage of 200 colored chips of 8 different colors that we can more easily coordinate and use for our money instead of everyone having a pile of quarters that can easily get mixed up - plus 100 white chips we can use in correlation with the other chips for certain games that require different types of wagering - The case is mainly a semi hard type of plastic with some metal and aluminum components - the plastic shell serves its purpose and should suffice though it was a bit thinner than expected - it seems like it will work well as long as you don't put it through a lot of abuse by tossing it around or stacking heavy things on top of it or it will most likely dent - I was happy to find the hasps snap and lock very secure and tight with good tension … seems that is a flaw in most other "cheaper" case's reviews I have read about - It even comes with a little set of keys so you can lock the case - honestly, I have no need or desire to lock it so I was able to simply stick the small set of keys back behind the inside top of the foam rubber so not to get lost - like I mentioned the foam rubber top is not secured or adhered to the inside top of the case with anything but it is cut just large enough so it has enough tension and doesn't fall out on its own while opening the case - I imaging if you want to secure it more it could easily be adhered with a few pieces of double sided foam mounting tape - the trays are basically just your typical cheaper velvet covered plastic and does what it needs to do - holds the chips very secure - my set consists of 200, 11.5 gm chips and 100, 14 gm chips - each are held nicely though the 14 gm chips are just a tad bit more snug than the others - the case also has 4 rubber stubs on the bottom in order to set the case upright when closed - I assume one of these will be the first to go over time if transported a lot but I keep mine laying down most often - the handle is plastic which would have been nice to have something a bit more heavy duty - besides the chips it holds 2 standard decks of playing cards very secure and a set of 6 dice - was happy to see it held 6 dice instead of 5 since one of our favorite games to play is 10,000 which requires 6 - It easily has enough room to hold 2 additional decks of cards or, in my case, a 6" x 8" bag of 48 dice laying flat - we enjoy playing Liars dice which requires 5 dice per person so that little bit of extra room is a plus - The forgiving nature of the foam rubber on top allows the case to be closed with almost no extra tension if you decide to stick a few extra things in there that go a bit above the height of the chipsOverall, I think this is a great little case so far and would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars - perhaps if the plastic shell was a bit thicker and the handle was made of metal it would be about perfect! - full of all the chips and dice the weight is just fine for this size - unless the company improves the durability of the handles on the larger cases, for people who need to carry hundreds or a thousand heavy 14 gm poker chips, it could be a little iffy and perhaps will need to seek out a bit heavier duty expensive case to do the job but for this size and quantity of items this one seems to work just fine

This case has a plastic handle and, when filled with ceramic/metal insert poker chips (heavy!), I worry about it's durability. I'd rather have a case with a more durable handle.

Small, lightweight and has adequate poker chip storage. Superior quality.
