This tool is almost a necessity for working on Subarus in the rust belt. So far it has held up pretty well.

worked perfect. Rear bearing on 21 crosstrek, 65k daily driver in NJ. The trick is to support the entire knuckle underneath with a jack, they spin the bar to the top a few good hits, retighten lugnuts and spin it to the bottom and another few good hits. Check for movement each time spraying pb blaster down the back where it seperates and from the front behind the ebrake shoes. Had the bearing out in about 5 minutes of doing this. Nice and slow dont over do it will work fine. Tighten lugnuts each time you spin wheel. Remove wheel speed sensor before you start also. After its out clean the knuckle and a THIN coat of antiseeze inside for next time. Dont get antiseeze in the abs sensor hole.

I needed to remove the rear wheel hub from a 2017 Subaru Legacy. After having everything apart and sprayed with lots of WD40 and PB Blaster, the darn thing would not come off--even after beating it for hours with a 5 and 10 pound sledge hammer. So, I ordered this product.First, I needed to buy some 12mmx 1.25 nuts from the hardware store because I have read reviews of these devices, and everyone says that none of the nuts in the kit that comes with the tool will fit a Subaru. They were right. I mounted the Smash Bar and began the long process of beating it to death. I took a long time, and I beat up the tool quite a bit, but it never broke. I did get a bit dented. After a couple hours of beating it, it got loose a little, so I sprayed more Blaster on it and smacked it back it again to get the fluid to spread inside the bearing hub. I repeated this many times over, until it finally popped out.I would highly recommend that people buy this version of the tool because it has reinforcing plates all over. They came in handy and helped keep the tool from getting destroyed.Well done.
