The Yharnamite 4 Pcs Pet Knotting Comb, Pet Dematting Comb, Knotted Comb for Cats and Dogs, Pet Grooming Comb, Massage Hair Removal Tool for Dog Catdoes work OK. It did help remove mats from my dogs hair with some effort. The point of the comb isn't sharp enough to penetrate some of the thicker mats.The area that you grip the comb is nice and makes it easy to hold.You can accidentally run your finger along the blade and cut yourself so be careful!Overall I had mixed results using this, it worked well sometimes and other it didn't. It is not going to be the one solution for knots and mats but it is a useful tool in your arsenal to tackle stubborn pet fur!You get four (4) combs for ~$10 at the time of this review so go ahead and try them out, you have nothing to lose.

I tried the set of four Yharnamite Pet Knotting Comb for dogs and cats and was not a huge success. They work to cut through starter knots but I was nervous using on larger knots around the ears on my giant breed dog. He gets knots when he goes out in the snow or rain so I use blunt scissors to cut into the knots then a deshedding tool to remove. I really like the way this goes into the knot and cuts it apart for easier removal. I tried on my main coon with more success through the finer fur. The plastic feels a bit flimsy and doesn’t have a good design for larger hands to hold securely and may break if greater grip or pull force is required. Overall, these do work as intended but care and caution needs to be taken when handling.
