Installing was a challenge as the rotation shaft is slightly too big and had to be sanded down to fit , but once modified works as it should.Would not buy again as it is hard to fit and being wrong size shaft makes a big difference

my actuator was bad so got this one was good price , the item itself was not what made it difficult to install but the location of it was what made it difficult not the products fault. but installed and worked well.

A/C Air Door Actuator Heater Blend Door. I read a lot of reviews stating modification/shaving/filing needed to make it fit. This was a direct fit with no modifications needed for my Sport Trac, maybe I’m just lucky. This part solved my no heat problem, just in time for the cold temps to arrive.

I purchased this blend door actuator for my 2008 Ford Ranger and it works great! No longer do I have hot air blowing when the a/c is on or when the temperature control is turned to cold! Would recommend buying this to anyone that has this issue (assuming this is compatible with your vehicle). Getting it in does take some forcing it as the white post thing that turns needs to match up to the hole which is a bit of a pain to get them to square up to each other. You could probably sand down the edges of the post a little so it slides in easier but don't take too much off as you don't want it loose. Don't try to manually turn the post to line them up! The item arrived on time and was well packaged. Great buy if you need one!

I tried this because it's a quarter the price of a new OEM part.. This unit is listed as fitting my vehicle (1996 Ford Ranger), but The white peg that sticks down and is supposed to seat into the blend door doesn't fit. It is too long, and causes the whole unit to sit a few millimeters too high to be able to screw it in. Without screwing it in there is no leverage to turn the blend door.I tried to see if I could swap out the peg from the old dead OEM part, but the internals we completely different, and incompatible. I then tried trimming down the peg and ended up breaking the unit in the process, so I never did get to test how well it worked. In the end I went and got an OEM that actually fit from the wrecking yard for the same price.
