This is NOT zinc strip. Its adhesive silver tape. Tested it with my multimeter and it doesn't conduct current. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE PRODUCT.

This product is not as advertised. It is just thin, reflective adhesive tape with a minimal conductive layer. It is NOT a zinc metal strip. It will not be effective in eliminating/preventing moss growth on roofs. FALSE ADVERTISING!

Not very wide and quite thin. I guess we wait until next summer to see if it worked.

I ordered this a couple of months ago, and finally was able to get up on the roof top install it. The installation went well, until I ran out of product before getting the whole roof covered. The product description says that it is 55 ft long, but the actual length was 45 ft, leaving me 10 ft short. I'm not happy that I will have to buy a whole new roll in order to finish my roof, when what I ordered was supposed to be long enough. If I had the 10 ft I am missing the rating on this would be much higher.***UPDATE***The seller contacted me about this situation and asked how they could make it right. I told them that I just needed the additional 10ft of zinc strip so that I could finish my roof. About 3 days later a package arrived with a whole roll of zinc strip. Now I will be able to finish the job!==> We haven't had a lot of rain for this past month or so where I live, but we finally had a good rain storm about a week ago. I noticed a few days later that there was an odd looking "stain" about half way down my roof. It was actually the point where the zinc had removed the discolored growth from the top part of the roof as the zinc was working its way down. A few more storms and my roof will look as good as new! Great product!

We live in a winter-rainy climate that's perfect for moss accumulation. For decades, I've used zinc strips on both peaked-roof and flat-roof sections of our buildings. I needed some more of this product but discovered that it was no longer to be found in our hardware stores, so I ordered this product. It's of sufficient dimensions that it'll do the job for multiple decades (longer than my body will), so I'm happy. It's a simple product, but seems to be increasingly difficult to find. Nice to have this one available.

Sharp edges. Can already see the difference with no algae growth. I will buy this product again in 2 years when I install a new roof.

I installed my garage roof about 7 years ago. Did it myself to insure it was done correctly. Recently I've noticed moss buildup in the more shady areas. Initially I used a spread-on zinc powder which cost almost as much as a roll of zinc strip. It worked for a year, but I decided I wanted an easier and more long term solution.Fortunately I have a 4:1 roof so it's easy and safe to work on. Always consider safety when working on your roof. For a high pitched roof consider professional installation.Installation itself was a breeze. I put down two rolls, one on each side of the 50' roof peak, in less than 2 hours. I used standard roofing cement and nails with neoprene washers every 6-8'. I also made sure the nails passed through a layer of roofing cement to help seal them. While the material is thin, I suspect it will be many years before it completely ablates away. I will update this review next summer with an appraisal as to it's effectiveness.
