I'm not sure why but these take over 24 hours to completely freeze. Maybe all of the plastic acts as an insulator and slows down the freezing process. But that's just a guess on my part. I figured it would be the standard 3 to 4 hours. Nope! It takes well over a day. I needed these for my ice machine after surgery but the ice has to be changed out every 4 hours and the next batch needs to be ready to go. These were not. Barely keep the water in my ice machine cold for an hour bc most of the balls weren't frozen and still just had cold water in them. But given the day and change to fully freeze these were amazing kept the water cold for well over 4 hours but the problem is not being able to wait a day just to get four and a half to 5 hours of cold water so they're being returned hopefully they work for whatever you need them for but they didn't work for me. Hope this helps. Gave 3 stars bc they were great once they actually froze.

I bought 2 packs of these specifically for my fog chiller to use in place of ice. It works like a dream! No more water to deal with, great longevity, cooled fog rapidly!

I especially love that if we are having a drink after work, that it doesn’t make it watered down. My kids absolutely love to use them because they work great and our fridge doesn’t produce enough ice, it’s always having issues. There was a lot of frustration, but not anymore because we have these! I have also used them to cool the water while we use our mini fans with mist. This is a must have because the are strong and built well, and can be used for so many things.

The quantity is what pulled me in, then the size! I’m beyond happy that I decided to go for these. I hate watered down drinks from regular ice, and these freeze and put out considerable chill (some just retain a lot of the coldness) And it saves me space and a few cents from having to use my ice maker. The colors are cute, there are so many, and they work. Amazing value!
