UPDATE: 2 months use- this thing is hands down the BEST toy our cat has ever had! He LOVES It and plays with it all the time. Makes him hyper and he loves chasing this thing! Its ben very durable despite constantly hitting itseld around! I used a soft gel type double sided tape around its nose to stop any possible damage to the walls which it didnt cause before anyway but just to be safe. Also you can buy catnip sprays and spray it once in a while for the double shot of energy for your cat! i would give this 10 stars if i could!Initial review:Our cat is super picky and doesn’t like 90% of toys. Even the more fancy ones but he can’t get enough of this little guy! Very happy

I really do love this toy for my cats, so much so, that over the years I have now repurchased three times. The problem though? I've had to buy three of them within 2 years. The original one I had was great, it was the older version and the wheel design was different - made with metal and not plastic. Was it a little more difficult to take off to get hair out of? Yes, but after removing hair multiple times, it didn't get progressively slower like the new version. The new version is "supposed" to be "easier" for removing hair and lint from the wheels - they pop off easier and have large, plastic axels that you can get the hair out of. The issue is that even though I remove hair and lint regularly from the wheels and keep them clean, the mouse progressively gets slower. Usually within three months of owning it. I have gotten special, curved tweezers to get any hair and lint out of the wheel axels, but there doesn't seem to be anything in there. I thought maybe that the first "upgraded" one I got was flawed, so I bought another. It also slowed down within three months. Please make a product that works and continues to work so I don't have to constantly buy replacements. my cats love these, but I'm not dropping another $40 Canadian on this when I can just get a cheap mini RC car for my cats to chase instead. This thing is honestly worth $15, not $40

Keeps my cat entertained for a long time. But the best part is its movement. Its smart and resourceful at getting itself out of tight spaces or jam. Never had a toy like this. Needs little human intervention. It just keeps going and going. Excellent cat toy...

It zooms around pretty fast, and goes right over small obstacles like a change in flooring, and even moves a bit on deep carpeting, if slowly. Gets caught by cords a bit, but otherwise seems able to just go with impunity. So works as advertised, and is strong compared to some toys out there.I think if it had a soft body covering that one could remove and douse in catnip, it would be perfect, but thats something I can add on myself. And it was not advertised with such, so I wont take any stars away, its more of a suggestion for future versions.Overall, good toy, you get exactly what it says you get. Cats personality and interests may vary of course, so I cannot promise yours will like the toy.But my cat seems into it, as much as she is into any self motivated toy that lacks me on the other end wiggling things.

I bought the beige mouse with purple wheels. It charges fast. At first, my cat, who's only one, was a little scared of it. I ran it around my living room, and it was very lively, but it kept getting stuck on cables (power, computer, audio). I blocked off the kitchen floor, which is a nice, flat surface—sans cables. My cat watched it going forward, then backward, then a short pause, and it would start all over again. My apartment doesn't have a bath, but a large shower stall, larger than a bathtub. I put it in there, and it would zip around, mesmerizing my car with its speed, change of direction, and flashing coloured tail. She has interacted with the mouse a few times, but she likes to watch. It goes for a while without a charge. When it's out of power, she comes to me and sits and stares. I go get the mouse, charge it up, and put it back in the shower stall. Maybe she will interact with it later, but for now, she likes to watch. She's happy. I'm happy.

The first 2 days it was functioning perfectly and going fast. It gets stuck a lit in literally everything, even in the smallest electrical cords, not to mention normal carpets. All of a sudden after the first week it started getting stuck on its own, we thought there is a hair or something, got the wheels out and tried to figure it out by cleaning where the wheels are attached, it would work again but we could see the performance deteriorate. It is also impossible to disassemble even if you get the screws out, so we weren’t able to see what is going on with the inside or if anything is stuck inside of it. At this point we are really frustrated. The main goal we bought this for is for our cat to play on his own, but that’s not the case because we have spent more time getting it iut of places where it’s stuck and also try to fix it
