I have not yet found a vehicle with split tie rod sleeves that this will not work on, and the quality and durability seems fine (i.e., I haven't broken any yet). With this type of sleeve, a pipe wrench or plier will distort and crush it, actually making it tighter and harder to turn. This tool spreads the sleeve apart slightly. Two hints for using it: get the sleeve freed up as much as possible first, and grasp it as close to the tie rod (whichever one is more accessible) as possible. Otherwise you can peel the sleeve open.Edit: After two years of more or less daily use, two of the tools have broken. The steel or heat treatment is too brittle to hold up under the demands of a professional mechanic.

the tie rods these fit they work great,much better then the custom bent screwdriver i ben using for years. some of the older Chevelle tie rods are to small for any of the tools in this set. the replacement adjuster sleeve was made larger in the center so the tool worked when replacing both ends of a tie rod.these make adjusting the drag link on 4/4 trucks so easy I don't know how I did with out this set for so many years. for the price if your going to just change even one tie rod that these will fit they are definitely worth purchasing to save on sanity and knuckles.
