These are great little straps for holding small items to your pack, in your pack, or just holding items together. The straps are more like bungee cords than actual straps because they flex. They also have two adjustable buttons to make the ends of the straps bigger or smaller. This is useful to strap things down. I am a fan of all things like straps, tie-downs, clips, pouches, and EDC gear. These have more uses than I can name. I currently have one securing a CPAP mask to a bedpost with an "S" hook. I have a couple lashed onto sling packs. I have tons of uses for these great little straps. If you are OCD with securing your gear, these are for you.

I really just wanted the clasps that came with these, I wanted to re-enforce the pull cords on my running vest to keep my bladder from bouncing.Still, as a whole, these products are good for securing an ultralight umbrella to a pack for backpacking in hot weather and sun, and I have used them for that. They do the job. They've got two clasps on each, so that lets you really lock down the position, and that's nice when you're trying to get the umbrella to stay put despite all the movement.

These straps have so many uses due to the way they're designed. They work very well for holding your trekking poles when needed but can be used to secure other items like water bottles, stuff sacks, etc. They're very lightweight, which is perfect for hiking and backpacking and easy to adjust.Bottom line: these are great accessories that you don't realize you missed until you get them and find out how versatile they are. Recommended.
