I know what the pros say, but I know the results I get with this amazing cutting edge. I do NOT mind sanding when needed. I am not well-equipped or good enough at it to sharpen. Especially a great tool to begin working on the inside of boxes and bowls. The separate handle is very robust and instils confidence in tackling larger projects.
