I bought this jacket for my husband after days of comparisons. It was the best decision ever!Once the cold really kicked in. He could take an hour long walk with our puppy & sometimes come home sweating.It was originally bought as an XL, but it was way too big.The large ended up fitting perfectly 👌The jacket does run a little large & you should definitely double check the measurements before buying.Now I'm hoping to find one like this for myself! 😁

I spent a week in Iceland wearing this jacket in cold, windy, snowy weather and it kept me warm and dry. Not as bulky as the big parkas but with a medium layer underneath it did the job. With the zipper pulled up all the way and the adjustable hood pulled down tight it did a good job protecting my face in the wind. I am 6'1" 180lb and it fit well. Wouldn't have minded if the sleeves were about 1/2" longer.

It's a really great 5-star jacket when you get the right fit and item. My 1 star is not a reflection on the actual item but on getting something incorrect from Amazon.Tried on in retail shops. The small was just a bit constrained for layering underneath so chose the medium. The medium was not available so ordered on Amazon. Same Columbia description but the product number was different. (Who ever looks at that) The medium I received from Amazon fitted like an XL. I eventually found a medium in retail and compared the two. The Medium from Amazon was larger by inches in all directions than the medium in retail. Also the item from Amazon did not have the omni-heat lining in the sleeves. So either a different product or no quality control.

I actually loved this coat when I got it. It was really warm and super comfortable. I started having trouble with it within a month. I had wondered with the extra length which was nice how it would hold up.The other day when I sat down with it zipped up it came unzipped from the bottom.I thought nothing of it right away, then happen to notice that the zipper had started to rip away from the coat.I loved the rugged feel of the coat, but the zipper isn’t as rugged as it sounds.after the first mishap I had it was happening more frequently with it come unzipped from the bottom.I ended up sending the coat back and not taking a chance another Columbia.The zipper just seems like a weak point.

Very nice and quality Parka as per my expectation. Love the Columbia technology which keeps the light slim jacket function as well as bulky heavy jackets at higher price point. Excellent value for the money.
