I was first disappointed that not only does this require external power (USB), which fine, maybe power is required, but it has a Micro USB port on it in 2025 instead of USB-C. But even so power or no power, I only get an intermittent signal when using it - it works for a minute, then the screen blanks out and loses signal for a bit and then it comes back again. This is just using a 1080P portable monitor not even anywhere close to the maximum resolution this is supposed to support.

This is a well-built adapter. If your PC outputs HDMI but your monitor only accepts DisplayPort, this is the type of adapter you need.It connects to your HDMI output and requires USB power. I tested it with my 1080p monitors, and it handled them easily with no issues. The included documentation is minimal, but for most standard setups, it shouldn’t be necessary.Overall, a solid adapter that works as expected

The THANDBLE HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter works well and provides 4K@60Hz resolution, which is perfect for my gaming setup and laptop. The connection is stable, and I haven’t had any issues with lag or dropped signals. It’s great for connecting devices like PS5 and laptops to DisplayPort monitors. The only downside is the adapter’s size. It’s a little bulkier than other adapters, which makes it less convenient for some setups, especially if you have limited space behind your desk or entertainment center. Otherwise, it performs as expected and delivers great picture quality.Solid adapter, but the size could be more compact for easier use in tight spaces.

As you can see, the auxiliary USB power is quite bulky, almost reaching my Type-C device, so keep that in mind. Other than that it worked well for my 1440p 60 Hz monitor.

Whether you're connecting your laptop, PS5, or graphics card from AMD/NVIDIA, this converter reliably transmits crisp 4K visuals at 60Hz. Its plug-and-play design means you can quickly set up your multi-display environment without hassle.

This adapter allows you to connect a device's HDMI output to a DisplayPort cable (not the other way round). This can be handy if you have a multi-input monitor and want to turn its DisplayPort connector into an additional HDMI input, or if you have a monitor which is DisplayPort only and you need some more flexibility. In my case it'll be used on a monitor which has a working DisplayPort connector and a badly-broken HDMI port. Some people really shouldn't be allowed near cables! The ports are clearly labelled "Source" and "Display", so it should be clear for anyone finding the adapter in a drawer exactly what it's for and which way round it goes.It comes with a short micro USB power cable, but you may find that depending on the device you're connecting it to, it may get sufficient power from its HDMI and DisplayPort connections and not require additional power.Note that this is a single adapter, not a twin-pack.

This adapter connects a source HDMI (e.g. on a computer) to a target DisplayPort (e.g. on a monitor). Note that it does not work the other way around (i.e. DP on computer to HDMI on monitor will not work) – so make sure it is applicable for what you want.Device has a metal case, and the quality of the sockets/connectors seems good. The adapter has a (male) HDMI connector and a (female) DP socket. Since HDMI/DP cables are usually male, this means the adapter is designed to connect to your computer’s HDMI port and use a DP cable through to the monitor (as opposed to running an HDMI cable from the computer and inserting this adapter between it and the monitor). So this will be visible sticking out of your computer. This adapter has a micro-USB socket as well, which is to be used to supply power (supposedly) for the chip/processor in the adapter. For me, the adapter worked with and without this connected. I did ask (via Amazon) about the USB connection (along with some other questions), and their response indicated that in many case you don't need to make this USB connection. The adapter worked for me, with no issues. The box the item came in was kind of generic, and printed on the outside was a vague “if you have any questions…. …let us know via Amazon”. There was no other card or paper in the package giving a specific link or support email (or any install/usage details).I tried this adapter connected directly to a laptop, and also to a USB-C dock connected to the laptop (before realizing that the Amazon page indicates that docks are not supported). For me it also worked when connected via the dock, but I guess this cannot be relied on?I would have liked a little bit more documentation on usage and limits (and possibly a support email in addition to using Amazon for support). However, overall, I am very pleased with the functioning of this adapter, so sticking with 5 stars.

I wanted to use this to convert the HDMI signal from my desktop computer to the Display Port entry of my new monitor. Unfortunately it didn't work, even if I made very sure that the usb cable powering it was connected and the cables attached correctly. I ended up using the monitor for a computer that had a Display Port instead. This adapter will only work from HDMI to Display Port and not the other way around. I am thinking it might not have worked for what I was planning because my desktop computer was one of the first ones that had HDMI. That's why I'm still giving it four stars.

This is a neat little dongle that plugs into your HDMI output from your computer, games console, etc. and converts it to Display Port for use in most modern monitors. It includes a short USB-A to micro-USB lead to supply the dongle with power. That's not something all cables require, but then I've had a lot of cables fail on me, so hopefully it's a positive and will put less strain on the video output. The leads not overly long, but should reach another USB port on a computer - you may have more trouble with a games console or something like that which may not have a rear USB-A power source.Time will tell if it lasts, but I get 4K output with no distortion, flickers or colour loss.

This HDMI to display port adaptor has great compatibility but it is important that you check compatibility before ordering as there are some restrictions. This adaptor is a plug and play and is very easy to use. It is small so it is very easy to take on the go and is compatible with devices that have HDMI ports and display ports. IT delivers great visual clarity with 4K@60Hz UHD resolution. The adaptor has a gold plated connector and a aluminum housing that is great for heat dissipation and delivers a beautiful picture without lags and flickering. I am really happy with this adaptor and even happier with the price.

I got a mini PC that has only HDMI output, and my screens support VGA or DisplayPort only, so this device saved me a lot of trouble allowing to make the conversion. With my previous option, a HDMI to VGA cable, I had the screen go black when starting Spotify as it relies on HDCP for copyright protection. With this adapter, not trouble at all.
