Your cart is empty.The Kidde P3010B-CA is a 10-year, sealed battery, smoke alarm with photoelectric sensing technology and Hush feature. The 85dB alarm tone is accompanied by a voice warning feature. The alarm will automatically activate when it is attached to the mounting bracket; there are no pulltabs, no switches, everything is automatic. At the end of alarm life, the unit will chirp, indicating the alarm is in need of replacement. The 10-year tamper proof battery that eliminates the need for battery replacement, and ends worry of unauthorized battery removal. The alarm provides continuous protection from smoke and fire, even during power outages.

thank you so much for supplying this replacement battery. i couldn't find it anywhere - all I could find was the Whole unit with wiring then i'd have to pay $100. it fits perfect over the other one easy install and this one talks. Cool. Love it.

I bought it to replace my old exact same model. Took it out of the package and it mounted to original mount plate. Done in 15 seconds. Love the set it and forget it experience this unit provides.

If you are planning to replace an existing, hard-wired Kidde smoke detector ... DON'T buy this product and certainly don't buy it from Tesla Fire Systems.The mounting plates are not compatible with each other as this one is smaller than the previous hard-wired Kidde products. In addition, the screw holes do not align with the ones from the previous models. The distance of the screw holes is shorter for this model. This means you are left with a hole in your ceiling that this new smoke alarm will not cover, and you are then stuck with repairing or somehow covering a large hole and/or mounting your new alarm elsewhere.If you do make the same mistake I made, you can expect Tesla Fire Systems to completely ignore you until you get a representative from Amazon to intervene and require a response from them. You can also expect to pay a whopping 20% restocking fee!I have declined to pay Tesla Fire Systems for making me wait more than a week for their response, only to find out they want 20% to put these things back on the shelf. I will figure something out. I'm not sure what ... but I'll be darned if I will pay them a penny when there is no mention in their advertising that these are really intended for new builds ONLY, and that those of us with existing hard-wired Kidde smoke detectors should probably look for something else.
