Just needed a cheap pair of calipers for a project. These were about the cheapest I could find. Probably wouldn't stand up to lots of abuse, but good to have around.

it does work but i found the plastic body, lack of locking function, and lack of fraction inch setting too annoying to keep using and replaced this pretty soon after getting it, would not recommend

Great for the price. It is cheap plastic and doesn't lock into place but I got what I paid for. Came with a plastic case and extra battery

I bought this to replace an old one I had. This one looks identical to my old one except this one is mostly plastic whereas my old one is metal. It works fine but I don't think it will last very long due to the plastic build.

This product looks nice even compared to more expensive ones on the catalog; it was at discount when I bought it, as of today it is still at a discounted price, and it comes in a plastic case, same as shown on the more expensive ones. This tool is very handy to have at home, even for those of us who do not need to use it frequently. For small measurements this tool offers more precision than taking measurements by eyesight with a regular measurement tool, and the display keeps the last reading until the device is turned off or another measurement is taken. I would suggest to bring the clips together down to zero and press the "zero" button if it does not show the number zero on the display before taking the next measurement.

There are many almost-identical looking ones sold everywhere. I can't say for all of them but this one is a great value for the money. The measurements were both accurate and precise (repeatable) despite the simple construction and its basic material. It will be more than sufficient for many precision tasks.
