It's very helpful when untangling Fuzzie's hair. She's a Norwegian Forest Cat with very long fine hair. She's not afraid of this small grooming tool, she doesn't like the big combs. If Fuzzie is happy I'm happy!

First off, these are very sharp, but they work great at removing matted hair. They are much easier to use than trying to cut out mats with scissors. They're a great size and fits "pur"fectly in your hands.

I did not find this tool to be helpful at all when trying to groom my cat. I did however use the tool to pen my mail. Not a great tool for what is advertised for.

I never thought something like this little gadget would make it so easy and pain free for the animal to carefully remove matted fur. Much better than scissors, electric shavers, specialty blades! Yes, it takes time to remove the knots slice by slice but it does prevent trauma & discomfort for the animal.Basically, holding the pet in your lap on an old blanket or towel, locate first knot and push skinny plastic blade through a small section, cut fur with the imbedded sharp blade, repeat until the knot comes off. Since a knot is usually close to the pets skin, the smaller, longish section of this tool separates the fur without hurting the already tender skin. Once completely finished, the pet can stretch again & it’s surprising how long a body becomes!!After a few days of work, giving my friend’s cat enough breaks, Kiki stretched languidly and looked all of the sudden much longer than before! Sadly I forgot to take a picture but I wish I had this easy gadget many years ago when I started helping cats with matted fur.Ingenious!!! I’ve seen these gadgets in the past to cut coupons but was never inventive enough to try it on fur! Bravo!Painless, well made, incredibly cheap but excellent tool! I highly recommend these mat-killers!
