Would return it for another but I need time use it now. Not sure how a plastic nut that's flawed passed quality control.

I am making a brewing kettle from an ancient beer keg. I have put a 2 inch tri-clamp port on the bottom with my awful brazing skills.This heating element will attach right onto the tri-clamp port to provide the heat to the liquid. This element is superior to a basic water heater element in that it first has the tri-clamp built in to make the liquid tight connection. it also comes with the screw on cover and gland nut to hold and protect the wiring. Finally the element itself is encased in stainless surfaces to have less chance of reaction to anything in the brew that the standard water heater might do.So very well made and ready to wire and use. Recommended.
