Well water, especially well water that has a very high mineral content, can taste really good. I get so many compliments for ours. Problem is, that mineral content is hard on water heaters. I pushed ours to the limit because I was too busy doing the remodeling. However, when the water heater not only tripped the push button on the thermostat, but also tripped its circuit breaker as well as the main circuit breaker for the subpanel I decided it was time to take action.Fortunately I planned ahead and had these elements waiting on the shelf. Popped the old ones out and these screwed in perfectly. By the time I was done working for the evening I had a nice, long, hot shower, I thought these looked like these best deal where people hadn't had too many duds. Mine worked out great. I'm adding a photo to show what a really corroded element looks like.

worked great in Bradford 50Gal - replaced failed original heating elements - these worked great. Easy uninstall of old heating elements and resintall of these. I bought a 1 - 1/2" socket from autozone to take them out and replace - worked like a charm. Make sure the old gaskets come out and the new gaskets are installed on the element.

I purchased the product on Jan 26, 2024. Yesterday, Nov 10, 2024. The element failed, that is less than 11 months for something that should last more than 10 years. I would not recommend this product.
